Flathead Lake's south shore
Polson sits at the south end of Flathead Lake where the Flathead River leaves the lake, about an hour south of Kalispell on US-93. It is the Lake County seat, with a walkable downtown, the KwaTaqNuk Resort and marina, Polson Bay Golf Course, the Miracle of America Museum, and big-sky views of the Mission Mountains.
